First Aid Supplies

First Aid Program
Fire Alarm InspectionHere at The Fire Safety Group, we believe keeping your employees safe and on the job is a number ONE priority.  We also understand the costs associated with managing a first quality first aid program.  It is no secret that having a first aid provider come into your business can be costly.  Here at The Fire Safety Group, we have eliminated the need to have an on-site provider as well as ensure your compliance with the codes, and of course, save you money.

First Aid Requirements:

OSHA First-Aid Kit (Mandatory) Standards.  Standard Number: 1910.266 App A.

The following list sets forth the minimally acceptable number and type of first-aid supplies for first-aid kits required under paragraph (d) (2) of the logging standard.  The contents of the first-aid kit listed should be adequate for small work sites, consisting of approximately two to three employees.  When larger operations or multiple operations are being conducted at the same location, additional first-aid kits should be provided at the work site or additional quantities of supplies should be included in the first-aid kits.

Industry Classifications:

We understand that each business differs and has different needs when it comes to first aid and protecting their employees.  As an example; “a restaurant has much different needs than an industrial environment.  A restaurant has little need for hard hats or safety gloves, and an industrial business has little to need for blue bandages or powder free latex gloves”.  This is why we like to understand our customer needs.  Please refer to the industry classes below and provide us with the number of employees, and we will email you the appropriate order form for your review and for you to stay in compliance.

The Advantage Program:
The system is simple, let us know what industry classification that best fits you from the list below as well as the number of employees that you have, and we take care of the rest.

Many first aid items required for your cabinets have expiration dates, this becomes a crucial part of eliminating liability associated with your first aid program.  We provide you with the first aid items that you need and we keep track of the expiration dates for those items for you.  When the expiration date is nearing, we merely notify you via email, send you the required replacement package for the expired product in your cabinet.  All of this is done at a much lower cost to you, and you merely dispose of the old product and put in the new, thus eliminating the need of a service provider.  Your business is ensured of having a first aid cabinet(s) that is up to date and in compliance with the OSHA regulations.
We do recommend doing a visual inspection on the cabinet monthly, and upon usage of product to ensure that you always have the correct safety supplies to keep your employees safe and on the job, not to mention staying within the code.  We also recommend the removal of any unapproved items that are kept within your cabinet(s).

Gaining Control of Your First Aid Program:
We have listened to you, the customers and know full well that you have two major complaints with their first aid provider, Cost and Usage!  Though the costs associated by an outside provider may be warranted with their overhead, we simply try to save you money with no overhead expenses and shipping everything to you, factory direct.  As far as the usage, let’s face it, if an employee grabs one band-aid, they are going to grab 20.  This is the most common customer complaint, that they are not only supplying their employees with first aid, but their families as well.

Our computer system is second to none, as we provide with you not only detailed invoices, but can provide you with detailed usage reports for any given time period, thus assisting you in gaining control of your first aid program.

Support Desk:
Our On-line support desk takes away the worries from our customers, ensuring compliance and we have helped them save thousands.  With our experience, we are there to assist you with controlling your first aid program.  Recognition of usage or overstocking is critical when it comes to managing your first aid program.  Overstocking leads to theft from employees, let’s think about it; “Do you really need cold medicine in June????”,” how about Poison Ivy treatment in December????” These are examples of overstocking, and we are here to help.  In addition, we understand our customers are busy, so we simply send them friendly reminders to help them keep up with their first aid program, such as: “it is time to start preparing for the cold and flu season”, which is accompanied with special offers associated with that time of year.
